Program Director

The Program Director leads the management of the BGDSTEM program team and is ultimately responsible for driving inspirational experiences for program participants.  The person in the role will provide program leadership through management of full-time members of the program team and the delivery of equity-centered professional development to part-time staff.   They will create an environment that motivates team members, volunteers, and program participants to accomplish the organization’s mission.  Successful candidates will bring a deep understanding of adult learning, expertise in people development, and a track record of supporting the development of organizational culture across various stakeholders.  They engage in partnership development and support external development engagements.  Check Role FAQ Sheet for more information.

Program Facilitator

Black Girls Do STEM utilizes a cadre of Program Facilitators to deliver exceptional learning experiences and develop strong relationships with participants. Under the direction and guidance of the Program Manager, each Program Facilitator will implement and help drive curiosity in the minds of Black girls, building confidence, skills, and the future STEM workforce. They should expect to engage in group professional development with other Program Facilitators on Saturdays in October, November, and January. From February-September they will independently review and plan for sessions, deliver content to students on Saturdays, and receive 1:1 coaching from the Program Manager.
